Africa Peace Fellowship (APF) is a non-profit Christian organisation based in Sheffield, United Kingdom. We were established to serve those whose lives have been shaped by traumatic and deeply painful experiences — whether through armed conflict, forced displacement, or the pressures of resettlement in a new country.
Our work spans two continents: supporting troubled and traumatised immigrants and UK-based individuals in Sheffield, while actively reaching into refugee camps in Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda — providing aid, fellowship, and healing to those displaced by war and crisis.
“To serve as a channel of God's healing and restoration — transforming lives by nurturing both spiritual and physical wholeness in Christ, across Sheffield and throughout the Great Lakes region of Africa.”Vision Statement · Africa Peace Fellowship
Predominantly Congolese families displaced by decades of conflict in the eastern DRC, living in refugee camps in Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda — some for ten, fifteen, or twenty years. APF brings material aid, worship in their own languages, trauma healing, and pastoral counselling, and invests in local leaders so healing continues between visits.
Congolese, Rwandan, Burundian, and other Great Lakes diaspora members who have arrived through resettlement, asylum, or family reunification — carrying invisible wounds from the journey and the life left behind. APF offers fellowship, trauma healing, and practical help navigating life in a new country.
Local residents facing loneliness, grief, mental health challenges, or a search for spiritual meaning are just as welcome as anyone else. Suffering is not limited to those who have crossed borders — and neither is God's healing.
Founder · Africa Peace Fellowship
“What begins with a single act of compassion can reshape the destiny of generations. Africa Peace Fellowship was born not from comfort, but from a calling — to stand with the forgotten, the displaced, and the broken. You are not alone. God sees you, and so do we.”
A visionary leader with a heart for the displaced and suffering, Pr. Ruganza Emmanuel founded Africa Peace Fellowship to be a lighthouse — in Sheffield, in the refugee camps of Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda, and in every place where God's people carry unbearable weight. His faith-driven compassion continues to inspire every life APF touches.
All our work is rooted in faith and the guidance of the Holy Spirit — restoring God's image in mankind through repentance, acceptance, and practical acts of love.
We address both spiritual and physical wellbeing, understanding that true healing requires care for the whole person, not just their immediate material needs.
We combine fellowship and faith with tangible action — food support, welfare assistance, and direct aid that meets people at their point of need.
